FLORENCE TRANSPORT - FLORENCE TRANSPORTATION ITALY

Florence Transportation - There are buses, the LI-NEA and the ATAF that provide ample ways to get around Florence and also to get to outlying areas of Tuscany. The Santa Maria Novella is the main station for the trains that service Florence and is right in the center of town. From there you can go to villages and towns near Florence to give you more of the atmosphere of this lovely region of Italy. There are many bus lines serving the city and suburbs and a two day ticket to allow you unlimited travel is about €6-7 and this can be handy when you are tired browsing around museums and art galleries.

Travel Guide

There are also taxis readily available. You can also rent a car if you want to go to outlying areas, but you won’t need a car for visiting Florence itself.. You’ll find that getting around by foot Florence will be very easy once you get used to being in the city.
